There were still tomatoes ripening on the vine in Genoa on Oct. 22, 2022, just before it snowed for the first time. Leaving the plants out this weekend with temperatures forecast to approach freezing is a gamble.
The University of Nevada, Reno, Extension Douglas County’s 2023 Fall Harvest Festival is 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Dangberg Historic Home Ranch, 1450 Highway 88, Minden.
