A memorial service is noon Saturday for Gardnerville resident Barbara Elaine Holesapple, 66, who died April 21, 2010, in Reno.
Born July 26, 1943, in Chicago, to James and Bernadine Harper Madigan, she graduated from Lake Wood High School.
She married husband Roy Dean Holesapple Jan. 3, 1962, in Las Vegas.
The couple moved to Gardnerville in 1971, where she worked at the Sahara Tahoe and Topaz Lodge waiting tables until she retired in 2004.
She loved Carson Valley, where she raised her four children.
She is preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by son Ron; daughters Brenda (Bruce) Biskobing, Sandy Dickey and Kathy Holesapple; brothers Tom (Roberta) Madigan, Bob Madigan, and Jim (Peggy) Madigan; sisters Rita (Wayne) Dean and Dolores Huyler; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
