The R-C Morning Report

Parks & Rec commissioners recommended a two-year extension of the Nevada Motocross Park's operation across from the Douglas County Fairgrounds with the proviso that organizers find a permanent site by that time. The application now goes to county commissioners. Meanwhile, residents opposed to the track are threatening legal action to stop it.

My apologies to folks who may have walked in on the staff version of the superintendent search public forum at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School on Tuesday. Tonight parents and residents are invited to Jacks Valley Elementary School at 6:30 p.m. to provide input on what they'd like to see in the next superintendent. The staff version of the meeting is 3:30 p.m. at Meneley Elementary.

There are road controls on Kingsbury, Highway 50 along the Lake and over Highway 88 this morning. It's forecast to be mostly sunny today with a high near 43 degrees and a low near 20. We're not looking at much in the way of wind, with a breeze of 5 mph. The next burst of moisture may be Friday with a chance of showers in the Valley.
