Dallas Ray Smith

Minden resident Dallas Ray Smith, 75, died June 30, 2010, at the home of his daughter.

Born June 6, 1935, in Boone County, Mo., to Rozier W. and Flossie (Hathman) Smith, he married Patricia Silvey in 1955.

They lived in Southern California where they raised their children.

Mr. Smith enjoyed swimming, camping, rockhounding and making handmade jewelry.

He liked going to car shows, and seeing the oldies.

He enjoyed the mountains and looking at the Sierra.

Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his wife in 2008 and son Eldon in 2005.

Mr. Smith is survived by children Dana Richardson of Minden, Della Dalla Valle and Delinda Lamarche, both of Leavenworth, Kan., Dexter Smith of Las Vegas, Tisha Tschacher and Dallas Ray Marshall Smith of Wyoming; brother Woodson Smith of Leavenworth; sister Goldie M. Spevinson of Lawson, Mo.; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

No funeral is planned at this time. Mr. Smith will be buried next to his wife Patricia and son Eldon in Moberly, Mo., at a future date.
