Joyce's Fine Jewelry hosts the 30th annual Christmas card release party by local artist Mimi Jobe, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Jobe creates her Christmas card designs from her original painting of Carson Valley winter scenes. Signed and unsigned cards for 2010 and past years may be purchased through the holidays at Joyce's, 1503 Highway 395, Gardnerville.
"Every year it is exciting to present the new Mimi Jobe Christmas card, but this year is special because we have been partnering on this event for 30 years," said Norie Jenkins, owner and operator of Joyce's Fine Jewelry. "Her creativity and ability to capture the Carson Valley is truly one of a kind."
Champagne and appetizers are served at Saturday's card release party and Jobe will be available to personalize her Christmas cards. Joyce's features ornaments, table top accessories, garlands, and gifts for the holidays.
