A black SUV struck the corner of the VA Clinic in Gardnerville on Thursday afternoon.
A medical condition is suspected as the cause of a vehicle into a building crash in Gardnerville on Thursday afternoon.
The crash was reported at around 2:20 p.m. and occurred in the parking lot of the Veterans Administration Clinic.
A black sport utility vehicle struck the corner of the clinic near the entrance off Waterloo Lane.
The driver was transported to Carson Valley Medical Center and was later declared deceased, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
A building official inspected the clinic and determined the damage wasn’t structural.
Douglas County deputies and East Fork medics responded to the incident that closed the driveway for a time.
The vehicle had to be towed.
