Genoa, Nev. — The Vacation Home Rental committee is hearing an appeal 10 a.m. today from a Stateline resident who is facing a $5,000 fine for renting without a permit. The panel meets at Kahle Community Center, where they’re scheduled to dive into the density question as they work on the code.
Emergency personnel responded to a vehicle rollover 5:41 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 50 near Zephyr Cove. Everyone was out of the red pickup and ambulatory.
There aren’t any road conditions up this morning across Douglas, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still slick spots. There’s fog in spots in the Sierra, but the Valley looks fairly clear.
I’m heading to Sacramento this morning for a check-up. Nothing to be concerned about, but I’ll be out of touch for most of the day.
And what a day it will be. The forecast calls for sunny skies with a high temperature near 37 degrees, with the wind out of the north at 5 mph.
