I am writing you today as a wild horse and burro advocate and wildlife ecologist who is familiar with many of the herds throughout the West and has striven since boyhood to have these wonderful animals protected as viable populations in viable habitats.

Time to hold those horses

Acting and art workshops offered

Jan Rollenhagen offers gourd art workshops, 1-4 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month starting Jan. 5 and continuing through May at Lone Tree Gallery in Minden. Cost of $36 per workshop includes materials and use of equipment. Other workshops include two-day pastel classes with Thaleia Georgiades on Jan. 7-8 and Jan. 14-15, silk painting with Louise Noel on Feb. 5.
