Minden approves 10th Street sidewalk project

Shaving 2 feet off the west side of 10th Street in Minden was the favored option for installing sidewalks on the route that connects Highway 395 and County Road. Minden remembers Susan Jackson

A memorial to Minden native Susan Jacobsen Jackson will likely be near the entrance to the pavilion in the wetlands named after her father. Jackson, 65, died on Valentine’s Day after a 14-month battle with cancer. She served on the town board for almost five years, starting out as an appointee and then was elected in 2020.

Long term goals for Gardnerville Station checked off

Trial set in Stateline vehicle burglary

A woman accused in the theft of a $25,000 engagement ring from a vehicle in Stateline is denying the charges and is scheduled for trial Sept. 4-6. Rebekah Yushi Ramos, 34, has yet to appear in person in a Douglas County courtroom, according to prosecutors after she was detained briefly in Stateline in connection with the Jan. 28, 2023, theft at the Hard Rock.
